biography

Alberto Grozio is born in the Netherlands and lives and works in Turin (Italy).
After studying a few year mechanical engineering (he wanted to design formula 1 cars...) his adventure in the arts begins, first as bass-player in punk-rock bands, then in the theater. He attends the HKU (art-school) in Utrecht-NL and is founder of the theatergroup Dubbel Teek for which he directs and writes four plays.

In 1989 he begins a collaboration lasting ten years with the company of Jan Fabre. He has leading parts in The palace at 4 am... A.G., Sweet Temptations, Universal Copyrights and Glowing Icons. Meanwhile he works occasionally for Werktheater (Amsterdam) and Lichtend Zwerk (Eindhoven) and starts to make solo-performances.

In 1999 he moves to Turin, Italy, where he becomes director of Infinito ltd. and organises the performing arts festival Torino Chiama!

SInce 2002 he dedicates himself exclusively to his own projects: performances, installations, video's and theaterplays.He presents his work in Italy and abroad.
